<!-- Public marketing + policy pages. The bare-domain root ("/") serves landing.html
directly via the vercel.json host-conditional rewrite (anonymous visitors only —
known users bounce to the app subdomain via public/landing-1.js, which no-ops on
any path other than "/"). The /landing.html URL still resolves but is not the
canonical SEO entry. AI engines pick up content from these URLs, sidestepping the
     SPA shell at app.docdrawer.co.uk/.

book.html and book-admin.html are deliberately ABSENT — both carry meta noindex.
A sitemap entry for a noindexed page is a contradictory signal, so they stay out.

lastmod IS PER PAGE and comes from the file's real git commit date. It was a single
shared 2026-06-07 on every entry, two months stale, telling crawlers that pages
edited today had not changed. When you edit a page here, update its lastmod — the
value is only worth carrying if it is true. To re-derive one, ask git for the
file's last commit date (format=%ad, date=short) and use that.

NOTE FOR EDITORS: an XML comment may not contain a double hyphen, so a literal
git command cannot be written here. Pasting one back in makes this file
un-parseable, and an un-parseable sitemap is silently ignored by every crawler
that reads it — which is the whole point of the file. -->
